FITNESS & AQUATIC CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

House of Wellness Fitness ClassesThe House of Wellness offers a variety of classes to excite the Mind and Body! Enjoy land or aquatic based exercise program that will enable you to achieve your personal goals. If you are bored or not challenged with your current workout, then let our Group Exercise Instructors motivate and push you to the next level.

30/20 C & W Cycling Class followed by 20 min of toning/weight training. (30min)

AQUA ZUMBA Known as the Zumba “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating work out. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. Participants may bring and use their own water shoes. (45min)

BRUNCH BUNCH 1st Friday of every month. Bring Finger Foods and Cheryl supplies the coffee, milk and juice for a little Social time.

CRANK IT CYCLING Intermediate to advance interval cycling class.  (45 min)

CYCLING EXPRESS –  Enjoy an intense class to kick start your Monday!!!  (60min)

HOW WARRIOR FITNESS HOW Warrior Fitness will give you the weapons to battle the bulge! 1 hour of High Intensity Interval Total Body Training. (60min)

INTRO to KETTLEBELL The Kettlebell is an ancient training tool that has been around for centuries, it’s simply a back to basics, intense training tool. Kettlebells are one of the most flexible and effective pieces of functional training equipment available to lose weight, build muscle, or develop strength. Suitable for both men and women of all ages and fitness levels.  (45min)

CYCLING CORE All the benefits of a cycle class with the added bonus of core work. On and off the bike throughout the hour working on your core. A strong core is essential to proper form on the bike, get it here and be ready when spring riding season begins! (60min)

VOLLEYBALL Co-Ed, Non-Competitive, Volleyball games at Noon every Mon-Wed-Fri. Join us for some physical activity and FUN! Non-marking athletic shoes and a fun attitude are required.   (60min)

WATER AEROBICS HOW water exercise classes focus on both cardiovascular and strength benefits. Whether you’re trying to maintain your current level of fitness or reach a new level, the added benefit of training in water makes our water exercise classes safe and fun without impact to the joints. Even people who suffer from arthritis may want to give these classes a try! These classes may use resistance tools that include buoyant hand bar bells, power cords, wonder boards, noodles, etc.. Because of their low-impact format, water exercise classes are suitable for every fitness level – from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Everyone is welcome. Participants may bring and use their own water shoes. (45min)

YOGA BASICS Begin with the fundamentals of breath work and pose development to build strength, stamina and increase mind-body awareness. All levels welcome.   (60min)

ZUMBAClasses feature exotic rhythms like salsa, merengue, cumbia and samba set to sexy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, their abs, arms and thighs are toned up and their energy level is soaring! There’s no other fitness class like the Zumba Fitness-Party™. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.   (60min)   Please bring a water bottle, hydrate!

General Class Information

  • Wear appropriate clothing that will allow you to stay cool and invigorated.
  • Water bottle is required for all classes as hydration is critical.
  • Hand towels are available for the land based classes.
  • Show up 5 minutes early to class if you’re a first time participant.
  • This will allow the instructor time to answer any questions that you may have.
  • Some classes do require members to sign-up in advance to ensure your spot.
  • Members exercise at their own ability.
